Volunteers from Food For Life Costa Rica in coordination with Food For Life Global, have made an effort to distribute vegan food in areas highly affected by the passage of hurricane ETA. The main effects of Hurricane ETA have been landslides and as a consequence several communities have been blocked and uncommunicated.
One of the many affected areas in Costa Rica is Puriscal, San Jose and its surroundings.
On November 16, 2020, an effort was coordinated to bring a total of 30 sweet and savory breads and 157 vegan samosas. All this was delivered to a free dinning room, where about 200 needy people are helped daily. Likewise, those in charge of the area take food to families who for health reasons cannot leave their homes.
