YouNow is a new live broadcasting service that many YouTubers are using now to engage more with their fans.
On the 25th, Food for Life Global was the recipient of a 24 hour live streaming event to raise awareness and funds for the charity. The YouNow live streaming event was the brainchild of Jessica Carolina (aka Jezzikah22) who was helped by Thomas David Kelly (aka TommyTofu).
In a moment when social media and TV are converging, YouNow provides a product that fuses the experience of broadcasting, gaming, performing and social networking, giving direct power to the people and enabling them to discover and create new kinds of interactive content in real-time.
The stream was a great success with some popular vegan personalities joining in, including James Aspey
Throughout the steams, fans were encouraged to donate to Food for Life Global’s crowdfunding campaign on Chuffed.
Paul Turner gave an introduction to Food for Life Global and also shared some stories from the field.
