Established in January 2016 in the USA and Peru, the Luis De La Calle Foundation is in the business of empowering individuals, communities, and society in three key areas: education, social service, and the environment. The work they do at the social welfare organization is aimed at providing a holistic approach to solving some of society’s biggest challenges. By empowering each other they are working towards a brighter future.
Wings to Learn- Empowering Children
Wings to Learn- Empowering Children, based in Switzerland and Denmark, emerged out of a pursuit to inspire and support eager minds, and a desire for actions to speak louder than words. They are an organization driven by progressive ideas, bold actions, and a strong foundation of support.
Founded by Dr. Luis De La Calle, Wings To Learn- Empowering Children was established to go above and beyond to provide their learners with an empowering environment, offering them the opportunity to create and mold their own unique experiences through the organization’s wide range of activities where they can fully embrace their identity and gain all the skills they need to be leaders tomorrow. Wings to Learn- Empowering Children sees the true power that every individual holds, and they have made it their mission to transform them into natural-born leaders, ready to take on the world.
Wings to Learn Academy
Wings to Learn Academy, based in Estonia and Spain, was created to help people learn more about making a difference.
Wings to Learn Academy believes that every individual has rights that are inherent to all human beings i.e., human rights. Everyone is entitled to these rights, without discrimination. To truly achieve access to and protection through human rights education, we need to address both material and spiritual development.
At Wings To Learn Academy, it is essential to understand that to be human means more than survival on a material level. The essence of humanity is in the connection that we share with all beings on the spiritual level. Through their holistic approach to growth and experiential learning, they empower individuals and inspire them to embrace their true identity while unleashing their inner potential.
NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education and Learning
NGO Working Group on Human Rights Education and Learning (NGO WG on HREL) is a working group of the NGO Committee on Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. It aims to ensure NGO participation in the processes of global policy making on human rights education in relation to UN institutions, principally the UN Human Rights Council, through the following activities:
- NGO networking, information sharing and coordination regarding human rights education;
- Advocacy for human rights education;
- Transmission of information, proposals and experiences of NGOs on human rights education to global policy-making processes, particularly the UN Human Rights Council;
- Consultation with Human Rights Council Member States on resolutions relevant to human rights education;
- NGO joint statements on human rights education;
- Working on the right to education in connection with human rights education and other issues including the rights of women, children, indigenous peoples and minorities, as they may be relevant to the context of human rights education.
