A Message from Desireé
Hello everyone!
My name is Desireé for as long as I can remember I have had an inner desire and drive to help those who need it. A couple of years ago my dad suggested instead of throwing away our unused and old stationery we collect it and send it to his childhood primary school in Zimbabwe, this sounded like a great idea but I had no idea how to bring this into fruition so dad helped me by asking his friends to donate their unwanted stationery with the intention of taking me to Africa to personally deliver these items. Then COVID happened and all of this was brought to a halt. After quite a big personal challenge I recently experienced, Dad suggested I focus my attention on something positive and he reminded me of this project we had started a few years ago. Focusing on something purposeful and bigger than myself has given me a new direction, this has truly brought me ease, and the thought of making a difference in someone else’s life I know will continue to bring me joy.
I would love for you to join me on this journey and share the joy I have felt.
Ways you can help out:
- Donate to the Go-Fund Me to help raise funds for travel expenses, packaging of items + more stationery purchases.
- Or just simply re-share the Go-Fund Me page and get the word out!

I have already been in personal contact with the school principal, we are both equally excited and keen for what is to unfold. I have been sent a video of the children during their recess break dancing, watching this brought me so much fulfillment, (this will be shared on my youtube channel). It was evident from the expression of the children that they are so content and grateful for whatever they have. I am so happy to hopefully add to their joy by contributing to their school, education, and in turn their future.
My plan is to personally deliver the items to the children towards the end of 2022. I will be documenting this journey on my YouTube channel in which updates will be posted.

May this be the beginning of these types of initiatives of making a positive difference.
Thank you so much,
Desireé Mahleka
