The Food for Life team from Manilla continues to serve delicious vegan prasadam to survivors despite many challenges.

“There is no rest for us,” says FFL Coordinator Radha Lila. “We believe on holidays such as Easter, there no better way to show your love for others then to serve holy food and the holy name of God to the victims of a fire (800 families) in Quezon city.

On Easter Sunday, youth volunteers and local sponsors Mr & Mrs Mathani served hot meals to the survivors, and during Earth day celebrations, volunteers served 500 plates of pancit (chowmein), vegan cookies, donut bread and sweet rice pudding to participants and guests at the Quezon City Memorial Circle with City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

To date, 140,000 vegan meals have been served by Food for Life Manilla in response to Cyclone Yolanda (Typhoon Haiyan).
