The Food for Life Global Task Force team based in London, has arrived in Morocco to provide food relief to survivors of the recent earthquake. The US-based nonprofit is currently overseeing the serving thousands of freshly prepared vegan meals by its volunteers.
On September 8, 2023, parts of Morocco and Algeria were devastated by a 6.8 magnitude earthquake that killed nearly 3,000 people and injured over 5,000 more. Entire families and their villages have been lost in this tragic disaster.
Upon hearing the news, Peter O’Grady and our Food for Life Emergency Task Force Team immediately prepared a mobile unit that will arrive in Morocco to assist survivors with basic necessities and plant-based food.
This mobile team will support the needs of people impacted by the earthquake and deliver hope and compassion in the coming days as the people of Morocco begin the long journey of healing and rebuilding.
Food for Life Global and our entire family of affiliates hold the people of Morocco and their families in our thoughts following this deadly earthquake. We send our deepest condolences to all who this tragic disaster has impacted.
The charity is currently accepting donations on a special campaign page LINK
