Fundraising Consultant (Major Gifts & Planned Giving)

Compensation: Commission-based
Job Description:
Donor Management and Engagement: Develop and manage relationships with potential and existing major donors. Focus on personalized communication and engagement strategies to enhance donor commitment and contributions .
Strategic Fundraising: Create and implement strategic plans targeting major gifts and planned giving. This includes identifying opportunities, assessing potential donor intent, and crafting tailored proposals that align with donor interests and the organization’s goals .
Event Planning and Management: Organize fundraising events specifically designed to engage major donors and promote planned giving opportunities. Ensure these events are executed smoothly and effectively to maximize fundraising potential .
Stewardship and Donor Recognition: Develop a comprehensive stewardship program that recognizes major donors appropriately and encourages ongoing support. This includes regular updates to donors on the impact of their contributions and the organization’s progress .
Training and Support: Provide training and support to the organization’s staff and volunteers in fundraising techniques and donor management, ensuring a unified approach to donor engagement and retention.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in fundraising with a focus on major gifts and planned giving.
– Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
– Ability to work independently and strategically.
– Experience with nonprofit organizations is preferred.
Compensation:
This is a commission-based position. The consultant will receive a competitive commission on the funds raised, ensuring mutual benefits from successful fundraising campaigns.
