Food for Life Serving in Jogi Mor

October 22, Jogi Mor, Pakistan –After loading up a van full of tasty Channa Biryani, Food for Life Global affiliate, Sri Krishna Bhakt Parivar (SKPB) sent a team of volunteers to the town of Jogi Mor located two hours from Karachi. Upon arriving the volunteers witnessed firsthand the impoverished conditions of the flood survivors. Project leader Mr. Atma Ram, along with cooks Sham Ananda and Vrndavan Das were joined by a team of 20 other volunteers who came to serve. Over 400 meals were served. Spokesperson for the team, Vana Mali expressed gratitude to Food for Life Global donors who have made the relief efforts of SKBP possible. “We still need your support and funds to continue our work in Pakistan,” he said. Flood Survivors Scramble for Meals

October 2 — Food for Life Global affiliate, SKBP team visited the Hyderabad district and set up an outdoor kitchen at one of the many refugee camps. Relief Spokesperson, Vanamali das said, “We made many types of vegan meals, including basmati rice, vegetable curry and biryani, and served 500 to 600 woman and children. Our main challenge at this time is a reliable vehicle to transport the meals and supplies.
