FFLG Celebrating Feed the World Week Schedule

On behalf of Food for Life Global, we would like to invite you to two events during the Feed the World Week. We will have activities starting Friday, 16th of October and concluding on Wednesday, 21st of October and we would be delighted to have you attend on two special days of the week. On Friday, we will be opening the event on World Food Day with a roundtable discussion and show cooking. On Wednesday, we will welcome the Prime Minister of Slovenia to open the Food Surplus Hub with fun activities planned. The schedule for both days will be as follows:

World Food Day

12:00 – Opening of World Food Day Event at EKO365 with a roundtable discussion led by Marie Ann Ostland from Meru Communications and the panel includes:

Dr. Igor Šoltes, Member of European Parliament

Tadej Slapnik , State Secretary for NGOs and Social Entrepreneurship

Paul Rodney Turner, International Director of Food for Life Global

Matej Poljanšek, European Director of Food for Life Global

Albin Keuc, Food Surplus Expert, Sloga Platform

13:15 – Show Cooking & Tasting of Healthy Lunch with Paul Turner & Mitja Bitenc

Followed by Lunch & Video Documentaries

15:30 – Signing of Free Lunch & Meat Free Monday Pledges

Wednesday, 21. 10. 2015

9:00 – Intercultural Learning Tables at EKO365

10:00 – Sugar free lollipops made by children with Zsuzsanna Huszar, Nutritionist

11:00 – Opening of Food Surplus Hub with Prime Minister of Slovenia, Dr. Miro Cerar

12:30 – Conclusion Discussion & Feedback of Event followed by delicious lunch
