FFLG and Krishna Temple Gangasagar Help Feed Those Affected By Cyclone Yaas
Cyclone Yaas was a relatively strong and very damaging tropical cyclone that made landfall in Odisha and brought significant impacts to West Bengal during late May 2021. The cyclone left the Gangasagar temple under 4ft of water and flooded their kitchens and dining halls. It also destroyed their grocery and relief stocks as well as a large number of Bhagavad Gita and other books.
Among the devastation, Krishna Temple Gangasagar continues to help their community. Recently, Food For Life Global donated $7,000 to Gangasagar’s food relief efforts. With the help of volunteers, this donation was able to provide 20,000 meals to those affected by Cyclone Yaas as well as other children and families in the area.
Please consider donating to Krishna Temple Gangasagar to help this organization repair its sacred temple as well as the houses of those displaced by the cyclone. They also provide Covid medical help to families and they continue to provide free meals to those who are affected by poverty and Cyclone Yaas.
