| Feed the World Week (Oct 15 - 21)
Feed
the World Week begins today. From the 15th to 21st of October,
Food for Life volunteers and friends will make a concerted effort to
encourage the sharing and distribution of pure vegetarian food in an
effort to decrease world hunger and humanity's unnecessary dependence
on factory farming.
"Over forty billion animals are unnecessarily killed every year around the world," says
Paul Turner, director of Food for Life Global. "This includes around 100 million
chickens daily. The figures are astonishing and ghastly. There is simply no need
for all this killing. The earth can easily sustain humankind with fruits, vegetables,
grains, beans, nuts and seeds," he explained.
Food for Life is encouraging people to give their time in their local area to help raise awareness of FFL's activities and thus raise much needed money. It is really easy to help. Simply print out the following documents and distribute them widely.
Another cool way to help is to add the following email signature to one of your email accounts so that your friends hear about Food for Life.
All
volunteers MUST REGISTER with
Food for Life Global The FFL World Hunger Map is available for $5 each (plus shipping). Proceeds will go towards supporting FFL projects around the world. Printing is limited, so order today! |
